About Dennis

Dennis Chew is a Business and Technology Optimisation Specialist with over 40 years of experience conceptualising strategy and leading implementation across a broad range of industries — including not-for-profit, education, retail and logistics, manufacturing, banking and finance, and construction and engineering.

He is the founding principal of The Intelligence of Leadership, a mentoring practice devoted to forming leaders of character for the AI era. His work bridges the gap between organisational strategy and personal transformation, drawing on decades of navigating complex professional, relational, and spiritual challenges in real-world leadership contexts.

Dennis’s approach is shaped by a conviction that leadership is ultimately a matter of character, not just competence. He believes the quality of judgement a leader exercises — especially under pressure — determines the health of every organisation they touch. This conviction drives both his consulting practice and his writing.

Publications

Dennis is a published author whose books explore the intersection of leadership, relational intelligence, and spiritual formation.

When Fivefold Gifts Unlock (forthcoming)

This book explores the five foundational leadership archetypes — Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Shepherd, Teacher — as universal models for understanding diverse leadership strengths. By identifying your unique gift-mix, you can lead with greater authenticity and build more resilient, balanced teams.

When Love Misses the Mark (forthcoming)

All leadership is relational. This book explores how relational wounds from the past manifest as blind spots and poor judgement. It provides a path towards relational intelligence, helping leaders heal inner disconnects so they can lead others with genuine empathy and wisdom.

Values & Philosophy

Dennis’s work is grounded in the Jesus Mandate for business: leadership that genuinely serves, takes full responsibility, and prioritises the flourishing of people. He believes that organisations led by people of deep character are more resilient, more innovative, and more humane. His practice draws on classic wisdom traditions and contemporary insight.
